After reading the news on the 16 special edition 40h's being released, I'm really interested in seeing the case it comes with. I've been trying to find a good case for my 40h but can't find a good solution.

some people use this case: http://www.sfbags.com/products/macminicase/macminicase.htm a pelican 1300 hard case w/ removable foam fits it... I'm currently using a portable dvd player bag. its a little bigger than i wanted...its about an inch too wide, but it works (and was cheap - $10 from a local retailer)

DIY-it! ...got an old pair of pants that don't fit? Cut off part of a pant-leg, turn it inside-out and sew the cut end shut (cut it 1/2 again longer than the monome so you can fold it over), turn it right-side in again and you're done. If you want to get fancy add some velcro or a big coat button - add some foam inside for padding - or a paisley lining if so inclined, and voila, yer own kustom monome case - FREE! I got this idea from MAKE magazine. Make 2 monome bags and you'll have a nice pair of Daisy Dukes leftover. You don't have to sew very well since the stitches are inside.

I believe the OP is asking about a shell to mount the electronics in. The monomes posted the shape of the top panel, but the sides, bottom and USB hole are the final unknowns.

I thought he was referring to the "hand-felted wool case" that will come with the 40h Special Editions.
