Hi all.

Just thought i'd post to see if anyone had hacked mlr to run without
quantization. Would it be simple enough to do within the 30 day trial of
max/msp for someone with no knowledge of it to manage?... or am i
barking up the wrong tree.

Also i cannot wait to see what's in store for MLR3!

edit. on a sidenote, is it posible to use the 40h on an ibook running
mac osx 10.2.4

set quantize to 1/32 or smaller and it should feel quantize-less, though
i'm adding an "off" setting to the next mlr.

10.2.4 doesn't bode well. you could use _40h_serial.mxb to work with old
patches, given that you get max/msp 4.6 to run.

awesome news about MLR3 :-)

runtime works fine on 10.2.4... however the 40h doesn't come up in the
serial patch under any of the com ports. I've installed the appropriate
ftdi driver and that went smooth...

I'm just trying to get mlr working on this wee little ibook

open a terminal and type:

ls -lrt /dev | grep m40h

and post what comes up (if anything)

i tried typing that into terminal with the 40h plugged in but nothing
came up.

Also i've tried running serialIO but that's all that comes up is

"Could not run the script "APPLET" because of a program error"

with a -1264 above the edit button.

not sure if this makes any sense but mucho thanks for all the help
