I've touched on this topic in other threads, but wanted to dedicate a new thread to it: Is there any way (at all) to use one grid from monogrid to run sequences in monochrome? Imagine the flexibility...

I didn't see the other thread, but thanks to your mention here, I noticed a bug in the latest Monochrome (when I added the transpose it accidentally broke the condition for MIDI IN to Seq pads, which is fixed). So maybe now MonoChrome will work for your needs. MIDI note36-100 -> MonoChrome will trigger the corresponding pad/seq. same URL's as before: http://www.deadmau5.com/duda/MonoChromePC.zip http://www.deadmau5.com/duda/MonoChromeOSX.zip -Steve

I'll give it another try, but it will be a couple of days before I can, as my powerbook is in the shop. It has fallen prey to the chirping hard drive syndrome. Looks like I'll be doing a complete reinstall. Oh the fun... When I was trying this previously, I had monochrome's track set to receive midi only from channel 8 (grid 8 in monogrid). The grid number 8 button pushes in monogrid were not toggling the pads on and off in monochrome, so hopefully this update will resolve that. Also, I'm not sure which midi notes are sent out on each channel by monogrid, I'll have to check. If they don't match up to 36-100, I guess I can use a midi scale effect in front of monochrome... When I manually turned the pads on in monochrome (shift + click), the sequence patterns would light up on the actual monome. Good news, except they would light up on every grid, not just on grid 8. Anyway, I'll post the results as soon as I get a chance to try it again. Thanks for the help, Steve!
