I having an issue with my kit. The entire logic board and keypad kit is
finished. All LEDs are working button I am having issues with 4 of the
buttons. At first I thought it might be the diodes in for those buttons.
I replaced two of the diodes and tested it out. Still no functional. Any
tips on what to look for next?

try bridging the "star" pattern with a wire. if that works, that means 
the black pill isn't conducting for some reason (very unlikely).

the diode is pretty much the only point of failure if they others around 
it are working.

*unless* there's solder *inside* the star pattern, permanently bridging 
the two sides together (pretty likely case)

The problem was solder bridges. A little scapping with an x-acto inside 
of the "star" pattern was needed. Works perfect now. Thanks.
