Hello, I would like to buy a 40h, I think the new products with wood is
just plain ugly. I want plastics! Am I out of luck?

Thanks

i don't recall... why was it done with wood for the new generation
again? too costly for the molded silicone rubber?

The wood is hot hot hot hot!

i like it...the price tag for the 256 is all that scares me.

the short version of a long complicated answer:

1. we like the look of wood and aluminum... dansk, vintage synths, etc
2. the a rubber 256 base mold would be mind-blowingly expensive (for our
meager budget)
3. since we were doing wood for the 256, we figure we'd do an edition of
all sizes with the exact design
4. that said, we're researching our options (molded silicone over sheet
steel, for example) for a second run of the 128 and 64

I personally love the look of the walnut with the aluminum and red leds.
Very classy! Can't imagine a sexier combo...

i'm thinking of selling my original (first run) 40h (maybe with
accelerometer hack?) when the 256 comes out. i imagine a few other
people might be thinking the same?

it depends, i guess, on how much i use the 40h after i get a 256.
