I decided to got with http://www.frontpanelexpress.com/home/index.htm,
this is the U.S version of

I submitted the drawing posted here,
http://wiki.monome.org/view/40hPlateDesign, but made some custom
changes.  After emailing FrontPanelExpress this morning, they called me
back in 1 hour!!! Wow, great service. He mentioned to me the drawing
looks good except the depth of the blind holes, used for mounting the
PCB board, are to deep.  Since I am ordering a 4mm plate vs. the 6mm
plate, I have to shorten the depth of the blind holes.  The engineer
said to avoid dimples on the reverse side, there has to be at least .7-
1.0mm of material left.  This shouldn't make a difference/problem on
mounting the PCB/LED board.  I changed the depths from 3.5 to 3.25.  I
added my FrontPanel design, if you have the software check it out!!!

$$ Cost: $114.23 plus shipping


Game Plan:

Black Anodized Aluminum Face Plate
RED LEDs
Black enclosure (wood of some kind)

and possible, 2 knobs or a slider or combination

It cost me about $15 more to do it on my own, but I am getting it 
engraved and in Black!!  I am going to place the order tomorrow! They 
said it should take a week to get it!, not bad!

nice!  when you say 'on my own' - what do you mean?

I put the  order in for myself and not a group order.  If 5-10 are 
ordered they give a 10% discount, and so on... I planned on doing the 
group order, but then realized they have a shop here in the states!!  It 
would have costed me the same doing the group order, but i got the color 
I wanted, engraved and should be here in 7 days!! MONOME!!!!

Any word on your faceplate? I'm interested in seeing this since this is 
the same route I am planning.

Hell yeah there is!!!! MONDAY!! It should be sweeet!!! Black aluminum
with my alias engraved, Mr. Meoff, on it, red filled!!

Let me know before you order? If you are going to use the CAD drawing 
off this website you might want to make a few changes.

If it shows up Monday, that will have made it 13 days ordered to 
delivered.

Hhey Meoff,

I forgot to mention, someone already told me about the hole depth, so I 
already modified the file. Unfortunately I uploaded the wrong version. I 
uploaded the new version.

Is there anything beyond the holes depth to change? I am about to order 
8 plates at once so I want them to be correct...

Nope, that was all that was mentioned.  I uploaded my file as well!, so 
check it out!!  I changed the depth to 3.25 instead of 3.5.
