I'm really curious what the new mlr has to offer...especially in terms
with the 256.

mlr = think more channels with higher granularity (16 cut points vs. 8)

dig the pics and the video.

this marks a tremendous occasion - the first time we see something other
than just hands and forearms in a monome video!

nice work with the wurlitzer too.

seconded. very nice. noticeably thicker than the 40h as well - will the
64 be that thick? not a good or bad thing, just a comment.

thanks for turning me on to vimeo too - that site blow youtube out of
the water.

First posting... just a quick hello to everybody.

Both the 256 & 128 certainly appear to be a lovely bits o' kit. Nice
work indeed.

I'll have to consult my accountant (ie girlfriend) to see how one of
these can be squeezed into our budget ;)

Additionally wanted to say 'hello' to Kid Sputnik whom I seem to
remember from the Reaktor forums!

Have a great night.

John-Paul

(was also pleasantly surprised to see that you guys like to make felt!
more on this later)

This has really got my MIDI finger/Preorder finger itching...

I am really glad I didn't jump on the Monome Kits. What I wanted to do
looks like a crummy version of the 128. Can't wait to get my mits on
one.

Nice work, Monomen!

heh, i was wondering if that was you when i first saw john-paul at the
start of the post... hey jp, how you doing?

i hope you pick up one of the new devices whe they come out (or even a
used 40h, for that matter), i got lots of Reaktor/monome treats to play
with!

Things are going well. Currently busy working for the man.. which soaks
up an inordinate amount of time and energy that I'd rather spend on
other pursuits. But, my life isn't exactly full of hardship.. so one
cannot complain about that!

I've been very keen on picking up some Monome gear for quite some
time... I'll work towards saving at least for a shiny new 128 (or
possibly a 256).

Though, my first priority is to grab a new laptop near the end of the
year (ultra-portable is my new schtick!). So.. I hope the new Monome
boxes sell fast.. but not too fast! :)

I'm beginning to lean towards wanting to do interactive installation
works with a mixture of audio/photography & input devices (from both
modern and archaic sources) -- so I'm planning to brush up my serial
interface chops (learn some C++ or possibly Java) and then go the
Max/Msp route (though I still use Reaktor a lot). I'm sure it will be a
huge commitment of time and money.. but worth it in the end.

Pretty small place this 'internet thing' huh? Pleased (and also a
little envious) ;) to see that you're working on such a cool project.
