Is anyone interested in swapping an unpopulated keypad pcb for mine with
the original green leds in it?

the thought of unsoldering 64 through hole leds is rather unappealing.

I would be interested in that. The thought of soldering 64 through-hole 
LEDs is rather unappealing. : )

Especially since I don't trust my soldering skills to not mess up the 
surface-mount diodes.
