Are these buttons velocity sensitive?

How much does a monome cost unassembled?

How might one make a monome whose lights would change colors based on
velocity?

Thanks,

no

250 wongas, but you have to find your own faceplate and bottom enclosure

now that, i believe would involve a huge redesign of the 40h internals,
since it doesn't support velocity. in theory, anything is possible, but,
well...

 - redesign the buttons (and button pcb) to allow for 5mm leds and 3
anode contacts per LED plus common cathode (since afaik, there are no
RGB leds that are 3mm that allow you to control what color they display)

 - add a couple of new led drivers to drive 192 leds (64x3)

 - add a power supply since driving that many LEDs will require external
power

 - write firmware to support "change color" messages

adding velocity sensitivity is a totally different ballgame.
