with the announcement of the new unit pricing i've got to ask this
question. i honestly just now got my 40h where i want it, and where
before i thought 256 or 128 buttons would be cool, for my purposes it
would be a bit of an overkill. I really like what 64 has to offer.
plus i really can't imagine my fingers on smaller buttons.

so the question begs is what will happen a year from now when i need to
fix something? will i still be able to get the parts that i need or
will you only be stocking up on the 64 parts from here forward. bottom
line do i need to get a 64 to continue to expect hardware support.

i for one doubt it, mainly because they dont seem to use proprietary
parts except for the buttons afaik. i guess some of the parts could
always get discontinued by the manufacturer.

i guess limited-edition hardware will always have this as an issue, i
dont think the 64 will have a long run either.

we're maintaining a reasonable stock of 40h keypads (and some bases) in
case problems arise. we'll continue to completely support the 40h.

we still own the tool to produce more 40h keypads. in the future if
there is some sort of emergency, we can always order a batch. it's
expensive, but an option if necessary.
