hi, i connected the 40h to usb, using monomeserial
the test app works fine (except for those 3 buttons, but that's a
hardware problem), but i cannot get any of the other applications to
work.

can somebody enlighten me please ?

max/msp is installed on 10.4.9 (powermac)
monome is 40h

check some of the other threads, when I was going through the apps I 
opened the browser and laid out step by step.

the main hurdles are
- making sure the prefix box is set right in monomeserial (usually /box)
- hitting the DAC button to select your sound outputs
- hitting GO or START
- making sure the app has the volume turned up.

with max start with mlr, flip, 64 step
with chuck, start with Life
