hello everyone..

i'm currently preparing my liveset on my macbook pro (osx 10.4.10,
max/msp 4.6.3) and when using Monome Serial 0.13 together with mlr 2.3
all of the LEDs on the 40h will light up after a few button presses.
never experienced that behaviour when using the same setup on my desktop
g5 using an older version of monome serial (the last one before it would
remember the settings), so I'm thinking that the cause might be the
newer monome serial version.unfortunately i won't be at home to try the
older version and I have a couple of gigs coming up on the weekend.

does anyone have a clue what might be the cause of this and how I could
remedy the situation? the 40h itself responds just fine, no trouble
whatsoever, it's just that the lights will stay lit all the time.

failing other help I'd appreciate a mail with an older version of monome
serial so I can test it: martin AT regicide.org

cheers,
.martin

Sounds like the out of bounds problem that I was describing here:
http://forum.monome.org/topic/683#6912

From my (admittedly short and unscientific) testing, it seems to be
fixed in the newest MonomeSerial v0.17, just released:
http://wiki.monome.org/view/MonomeSerial-2

Also, from my previous attempts at debugging, when using 0.13 or 0.15,
this problem didn't occur if the 40h cable orientation was in the
default SerialIO position, left (and right on a second 40h if you are
using one). But in this regard your experience may vary, and my money
would be on the shiny new 0.17.
