Great news!

Nice assembly guide btw, couldn't stop laughing when I read this:

"super super important! make sure the half-circles match! don’t put this
in backwards, you’ll be very sad later."

I'm sure everyone has made this mistake once they started with soldering
and components...

Not an IC, but just last week I "tested" my first LED in a couple of
years and ... um, well let's just say It went to Transistor Heaven
almost right away.

:p LOL, that's why I ordered like 10% more than I needed .... hope
that's enough :D

Incredible News BTW. Am a newcomer, that's for sure. But it feels so
cool to be part of this, really happy for this happenin' community.
Cheers -h.

Hey guys, do you happen to know what the green (original) led part
number is? I really like that color and might just decide to get those.
Unless I can find some pretty pastel colored leds! j/k lol!!

week.

cheers!

oooh. just got word that my kits have shipped. a custom faceplate is
also on its way, as well as a variety of sensors from sparkfun, and leds
from jameco. my 8 x 16 80h is about to be born!

Where did you get or who manufactured your faceplate?

Hi Brian/Tehn, could you tell me how many kits are left for sale?

I'm frantically trying to save my pennies to buy two full kits to make
the 8x16 that I've been thinking about every day for weeks but wont have
enough cash for both kits for another two weeks or so.

I'm really worried about missing the boat in the same way I missed the
original 40h!

Thanks
Will

we have a good number of kits left, you won't miss out. there might be a
resurgence of interest once some people post their finished projects,
but that may be some time off.

the 128 (8x16) will also be ready in a few months.
